JOSHUA M. MARKS
Josh manages the firm's clients who have real estate and commercial transactional/litigation matters. He focuses his time on assisting individuals who are buying/selling their home or buying-selling commercial and investment properties such as multi-unit buildings, apartment complexes, retail and other business space and store-front property. For those individuals involved in the leasing of commercial property, Josh works with both landlords and tenants to negotiate, draft and/or review commercial leases for office and other retail space.

On behalf of clients who are starting new businesses or restructuring existing businesses, Josh provides legal guidance in connection with the formation of Corporations, LLC's, Partnerships and Limited Partnerships. He also works to delineate the relationship of the individual shareholders, members or partners of a specific business entity by drafting important documents such as Shareholders' Agreements, Partnership Agreements and Operating Agreements.

Josh also litigates business disputes or claims involving real estate on behalf of individuals and businesses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Whether your matter involves breach of contract, fraud/misrepresentation, tortious interference with contract or prospective business relationship, breach of confidentiality or breach of warranty, Josh is prepared to aggressively litigate your claims in order to protect your legal interests.

After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University in 1994, Josh attended the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. While a student at Widener, Josh was an invited member of the school's law review, the Law Symposium. Upon his graduation, cum laude, in 1997, Josh accepted employment with a boutique litigation firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where he gained valuable litigation experience in both criminal and civil matters as well as transactional experience in real estate and business matters. Josh excelled as an associate in the small firm environment, but quickly decided that he was ready for a new challenge. On January 3, 2000, he opened The Law Offices of Joshua M. Marks concentrating in criminal law, real estate and business matters. After close to five years as a sole practitioner, Josh partnered up with Peter to form Marks & Rosenzweig, LLC on April 1, 2004.

Josh is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for New Jersey. He is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Away from the office, Josh is most proud of is his role as a member of the Board of Directors of the Adam J. Taliaferro Foundation. The Foundation is named after Adam J. Taliaferro, a former student-athlete at Penn State who miraculously recovered from a serious spinal cord injury suffered on the football field. Josh plays an integral role in the Foundation's efforts to plan and hold fund-raising events, which provide necessary funding to deserving high school and collegiate athletes who suffer spinal cord injuries on the field.


PETER R. ROSENZWEIG
Peter handles the majority of the litigation matters for the firm. He has concentrated in labor and employment law for ten years and his practice is presently dedicated to private sector labor and employment issues at the federal, state and administrative agency level. He represents both employers and employees in matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, unlawful discrimination and/or harassment in the workplace, wrongful termination, retaliation in the workplace, severance agreements, unemployment compensation, workers compensation, and various other state and common law causes of action. He advises many small to medium-sized businesses on the creation and maintenance of employee handbooks/manuals, audits for statutory compliance, and conducts harassment and other workplace training for his corporate clients and their employees. Additionally, Peter has vast experience working with clients on the creation of non-competition agreements and other restrictive employment covenants that deal with the confidentiality of trade secret information and solicitation of employees.

Peter is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida, and maintains an active litigation practice in each state. He is also admitted to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Eleventh Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Peter is also an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he was previously a member of the Executive Committee of its Young Lawyers Division.

Peter is a cum laude graduate from the University of Miami School of Law (1997) and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University Scholars Program at the Pennsylvania State University (1994), where he graduated cum laude with an Honors Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations.
